Lots of things are happening at the park. The Park is now open and activities are going on at the Park.  The Batting Cage has been completed and electricity is being installed for the pitching machine.  Already over 200 kids have signed up to play soccer which begins the middle of April.  Baseball/softball will begin the middle of May. Church Leagues are all organized and ready to play as soon as the weather cooperates.

 Lake Charter Township and the Park Committee has worked hard to provide a beautiful park for all the residents and we hope you will take advantage of all that the Park offers. 

Last fall we planted additional tulips and daffodils and we are hoping for a lot of spring color.   We ask again that you not pick the flowers but enjoy them and leave them there for others to enjoy.

 Construction of two more dugouts will begin this spring.    Last summer the wooded area was cleared making it easier for everyone to walk the paths and enjoy the flowers in the woods.  Plans are to add several additional pieces of playground equipment to the park this summer.  A new Park sign is under construction and should be delivered and installed this spring.  A few benches have been purchased and will be scattered throughout the park so people can sit and rest a while from their walk.  A lot of reservations have been made for family reunions and picnics throughout the summer months. 

  The Park Committee is making plans for the THIRD FALL FESTIVAL to be held Saturday, September 17th at the Lake Township Park.  Reserve that date and come on out to help us celebrate.  Last year we had a lot of craft and farmers market vendors along with the other games, children’s events, pancake breakfast, Harold Meyer Car Show, etc. 

This year we are planning a few new events and we hope more of you will come and participate.  Do you have any suggestions or ideas that you would like included in our Festival? If so, please call the Township Hall and give us your suggestions.  If anyone is interested in donating to the Park, let us know.   In the past, Accu Die has made donations to the Township.  These funds have gone toward the construction of the Gazebo, which is located near the pond and enjoyed by so many people.  This has also been the location of several beautiful weddings last year.  Thank you Accu Die for your gift to the Township and its residents.

  The baseball/softball/church leagues are in need of a tractor or mower to work up the field.  Anyone interested in donating something like this?  If so, please give us a call.  Have a great summer and we’ll see you at the Park!  Remember, DRIVE SLOWLY through the Park where a lot of little ones are running about.  We want to keep everyone safe
