Absentee Voting for the November Presidential General Election - The State of Michigan Bureau of Elections will mail postcards to 4.4 million voters who are NOT currently on a permanent absent voter (AV) list and have not applied for a November AV ballot, reminding them that they can apply for an AV ballot online or at their local election clerk’s office. The postcards will be mailed between Aug. 20 and Sept. 20, in expectation that the number of absentee voters will increase significantly for the November general election. If you have not done so already, please request your ballot from Gloria A. Payne, Clerk for Lake Township. If you wish to check and see if you have an application on file already, please email or call Gloria at 269-465-6601,

Additional Drop Box - To facilitate you better, and with the upcoming November Presidential Election, we have installed a second drop box, in addition to the "RED" drop box facing Shawnee Road. We now have a "BLACK" drop box, which sits to the left of the front glass entry doors to the Township Hall.
