Water Plant improvements
Micro Filtration units are being added to the Lake Charter Township Water System to help process water. These units will be housed in a new addition to the east side to the existing plant. These units will process raw water in, and filter water out. This will cut down on chemicals used to process drinking water.
Public Safety Building
A site adjacent to the current Township Hall has been chosen for the location. Abonmarche has been chosen as the design company. Planning for the project has been on-going for a year now. Final preparation of bid documents is being drafted and we hope to have the project underway very soon.
This facility will house the Fire Department which currently is in a 50 plus year old facility. Basically the Department, and the equipment and vehicles have out grown the current building. The Baroda-Lake Township Police will also be housed in the building. They have out grown their office space in Baroda Township. The building will be financed with cash on hand, and should fit the townships needs for more than 50 years into the future. |
