Proposed Ordinance - Click here to view a proposed ordinance as it relates to marijuana establishments as defined in the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana Act, within the jurisdictional boundaries of the Township.

Water Shutoffs - Starting immediately, water shutoffs for nonpayment will begin at 8:00 am. If payment is not received by 8:00 am the day of shutoffs, a $40 shutoff penalty will be applied and your water service will be shutoff until payment is received.

Lake Township Park -  The park is now open for the season! Pavilion rentals are filling up for the 2019 season. For rental details and a calendar or availability, please visit the Parks page. Try out the newly renovated disc golf course! It is completed and getting great reviews. Click here for the new disc golf course layout! Thanks to the hole sponsors and the Sand Ridge Golf League who have helped with this. There are still some hole sponsor opportunities open. Contact Bob Clark at the Township hall for information. Plans are being made for some tournaments this season. Spring soccer, baseball and softball are all gearing up for another season at the park. Enjoy some time out at the park!

Curbside Recycling - Lake Township started a free recycling service to our residents a year or so ago. If you would like to be part of our green earth initiative, please contact our office to get set up. The Township recycled 137 tons of material last year! We still have only about 1/2 of all resident participating. Please sign up toady! Click below for the 2019 recycle schedule.

Electronic Recycling and Paper Shredding - Lake Township had a successful "recycle day" on April 13th. Residents recycled 61 televisions and 29 computer monitors along with many other assorted electrical items. Many used the opportunity to have paper and records securely shred on site as well. This is a free service to all Lake Township residents and we appreciate you using it! Look for tire recycling information next spring!
